Ingredients used in Mrityunjaya are as follows:

1. Jeevanti (Leptadenia reticulate) : It's principal constituents are Leptadenol , n-triacontane, cetyl alcohol, ß-sitosterol, ß-amyrin acetate, lupanol 3-O –diglucoside and leptidin. The plant is stimulant and restorative and shows anti-bacterial activity against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria.The plant is also a stimulant and a tonic. The leaves and roots are useful in various skin diseases, inflammation of the skin and on wounds.

2. Amla (Emblica officinalis) : Fresh fruit is refrigerant, diuretic and laxative. Fruit is also carminative and stomachic. Dried fruit is sour and astringent. Bark is astringent. The herb is also aphrodisiac, haemostatic, nutritive tonic and rejuvenative. It increases red blood cell count. Amalaki is one of the highest natural sources of Vitamin C (3,000 mg per fruit). Amla fruit paste is main ingredient of Chavyanprash, a popular Ayurvedic tonic. Amla is known as Amritphala in Sanskrit, which literally means the fruit of heaven or nectar fruit. It is so called because it is rich in many desirable properties.

3. Ashwagandha (Withania somnifera) : Improves immunity and protects heart, brain and other vital organs of body. Recent studies have proved that Ashwagandha stimulates the immune system. It has also been shown to inhibit inflammation and improve memory; these actions support the traditional reputation of Ashwagandha as a tonic or adaptogen. Root reduced to a paste is applied to abscesses to open them. 6. Guduchi (Tinospora cordifolia) : The stem of Guduchi is used in Ayurveda in formulations for sexual weakness of males and urinary complications.
